3D Paper Light
Laser Cut night Light

A Simple Project
Rocket Ship
I saw this idea on an Instagram ad. I thought it was fascinating, so I made one for myself. There wasn’t too much to it. All I had to do was build the frame, paint it, cut some cardboard for spacers, laser cut the design, glue an LED strip to the back and put it all together. Building the box wasn’t hard at all. Designing the image was a little bit of a challenge. I had to first, be artistic and second make sure what I designed would hold together. I also had to add openings everywhere I could to allow light through the paper as the levels got deeper. It came out looking really nice in the end.

Another Design
Tritons
I couldn’t stop with just the rocket design. Here is another design I made to showcase the university I attend. This was just for fun and it came out looking really cool for a night light.

CAD
The technical Work
These are the drawings I made. These drawings took a while to design to make sure no holes could be viewed from the front. Using these drawings I laser cut paper in the laser cutter I had at my high school.
